Common concerns we treat
We don’t diagnose or prescribe on social media or our website. In a consultation, we can assess and talk through options for:
Age-related changes: volume loss, contour changes, static lines.
Skin quality & texture: dryness, roughness, enlarged pores, fine lines, crepiness.
Tone & pigmentation: sun spots, uneven tone, melasma (assessment and care plan).
Redness & vessels: facial flushing, visible capillaries.
Acne & breakout-prone skin: active blemishes, post-acne marks, selected scarring types.
Scars & stretch marks: assessment and suitability for various modalities.
Neck & décolletage concerns: texture, tone, lines.
Body skin quality: laxity, texture, localised concerns.
Hair & scalp concerns: hair-and-scalp health support (where appropriate).
Sweating concerns: excessive underarm sweating (assessment and management options).
Your suitability for any treatment depends on your medical history, skin type, goals, budget, and personal preferences.
Why consultations are so important
A consultation is a medical appointment—its purpose is to keep you safe and help you make an informed decision.
Full medical history & assessment: medications, allergies, past procedures, skin type, and contraindications.
Goal setting & expectation alignment: what matters most to you; what is and isn’t realistic.
Personalised plan: treatment sequencing, alternatives (including choosing to do nothing), home care, and review timing.
Cost transparency: itemised options and total estimated costs before you decide.
Informed consent: benefits, uncertainties, risks, downtime, and aftercare explained in clear language, with time for questions.
Cooling-off: where required or appropriate, you’ll have time to consider.
Risks & considerations
All medical procedures carry risks. The list below is general and not exhaustive. Specific risks vary by treatment, area, and individual factors; these will be discussed in your consultation.
Common, usually temporary:
Redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, pinpoint bleeding, dryness or flaking, itching, photosensitivity.
Less common:
Prolonged swelling or bruising, infection, cold sores (in predisposed individuals), post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, texture changes, asymmetry, contour irregularities.
Rare but serious (treatment-dependent):
Allergic or hypersensitivity reactions, scarring, delayed inflammatory reactions, nerve irritation, unintended tissue injury.
Vascular or ocular complications can occur with some injectables and require urgent medical attention. You’ll be counselled on red-flag symptoms and emergency steps as part of informed consent.
General safety notes:
Not all treatments are suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, for certain skin types, or with specific medical conditions or medications (e.g., isotretinoin, anticoagulants).
Sun protection and aftercare meaningfully influence outcomes and complication risk.
Individual responses vary; no result can be guaranteed.
